A Love Story That Began with a Drink
On 31 January 2026, the Andaman Sea became the backdrop to a celebration that felt less like a formal wedding and more like a beautifully curated expression of love unfolding by the sea.
Kai, from Singapore, and Arthur, from Australia, first met six years ago during a university pub crawl. He asked her to buy him a drink. She agreed.
They talked through the night, attempted to walk home for nearly two hours, and eventually called a taxi only to be driven back across the same bridge they had just walked.
It was funny and unforgettable.
Now living in Australia, the couple envisioned a destination celebration that reflected their personalities — playful yet refined, relaxed but deeply intentional.
Above all, they wanted their guests to be entertained and cared for.
“I love weddings where you feel taken care of and never bored,” Kai shared. Arthur added, “I didn’t want something that felt like every other wedding.”
Discovering ANDAAMAN
Kai and Arthur discovered ANDAAMAN early in the story of the villas.
When they first reached out, Villa ANDA was available while Villa AMANN was still under construction. Curious about the space, the couple arranged a visit and became among the first guests to explore the villas during their early inspection stage.
With The Wedding Bliss Thailand, a renowned destination wedding planner they instantly trusted, they toured a number of luxury villas across Phuket in search of the right setting for their destination celebration. Yet they found themselves returning to ANDAAMAN.
What resonated most was not just the beachfront location along the Andaman coast, but the scale of the villas themselves. Rather than an expansive resort, the villas offered something more intimate — a beachfront setting where their 57 guests could celebrate together in a space that felt warm, relaxed, and personal.
With the ceremony, cocktails, dinner and the after-party unfolding across two private villas by the sea, the entire evening could flow naturally without interruption.
For Kai and Arthur, that sense of closeness made all the difference.
The Ceremony: A Pair of Sculptural Floral Peacocks by the sea
The ceremony unfolded at Villa AMANN just before sunset. Inspired by the concept Ethereal Coast, the design embraced soft whites, fresh cream, muted taupe and gentle greens — tones that blended naturally with the sand and sea.
For the ceremony, a bespoke platform was built directly on the beachfront, extending across the natural slope of the sand toward the shoreline. The structure appeared to float lightly above the beach, drawing the eye toward the horizon.
The ceremony design became a true canvas. The couple envisioned the concept themselves, while The Wedding Bliss Thailand translated it into an elegant setting.
Instead of a traditional arch, two sculptural white floral peacocks framed a curved altar overlooking the sea, positioned symmetrically on either side of the ceremony platform. Layered ivory florals and gentle drapery softened the setting, creating a romantic, ethereal focal point that symbolized grace, unity, and everlasting love. The aisle swept organically across the sand, introducing movement and intimacy rather than rigid symmetry.
When the villa curtains opened and Kai stepped out alone to the first notes of her processional song, the atmosphere shifted instantly.
She began the walk alone, meeting her parents halfway down the aisle before continuing toward Arthur — whose most anticipated moment of the day had simply been seeing Kai walk down.
Golden Hour & Elevated Coastal Charm
Following the ceremony, guests gathered for a relaxed sunset cocktail hour.
Beneath one of the villa’s large beachfront trees, a pop-up bar became the heart of the gathering. Signature cocktails and fresh coconut were served as live music drifted through the garden, while lounge seating invited guests to settle in and watch the sky soften into evening.
As the light turned golden, Kai and Arthur slipped away for their portrait session along the beach — a quiet moment together while their guests lingered beneath the trees, drinks in hand, watching the last light of the day fall over the Andaman Sea.
By the time they returned, the evening was ready to begin its next chapter.
A Candlelit Oceanfront Reception on a Glossy White Canvas
At Villa ANDA, the beachfront transformed into an elegant open-air dining space.
A glossy white platform built over the sand created the setting for the evening, its curved table layout echoing the fluid lines introduced during the ceremony. Columns of soft glowing light framed the space, adding a contemporary yet romantic atmosphere.
The evening began with a cake-cutting moment beneath cascading chandeliers, turning the wedding cake into the first highlight of the reception as guests gathered around to celebrate.
Dinner followed with a menu balancing Thai heritage with modern refinement: lobster bisque with Tom Yum depth, braised beef cheek in green curry, and mango sticky rice presented with fine-dining elegance.
Speeches flowed naturally between courses, with laughter and raised glasses shared across the tables.
As night settled over the shoreline, the beachfront platform began to feel less like a dining space and more like a stage for the moments that would follow.
Fire & Sky : Flames, Fireworks, and the First Dance
From the beginning, Kai had always imagined an evening filled with energy and surprise.
The atmosphere shifted with a dramatic grand entrance, set to high-energy music. Soon after, a fireshow lit up the beach, flames rising against the dark horizon.
But the most unforgettable moment arrived during the couple’s first dance.
As Hold My Hand began to play, the villa lights dimmed and Kai and Arthur stepped onto the centre of the glossy white platform, the Andaman Sea stretching quietly behind them.
At just the right moment, fireworks burst from a boat anchored in the Andaman Sea, lighting up the sky as their reflections shimmering across the water and mirroring the couple.
For a brief second, the entire celebration fell silent. Then the cheers began.
After Dark: A Private Club by the Sea
As midnight approached, the celebration moved indoors to Villa ANDA’s living room, where the after-party took on a new energy.
A mirrored DJ booth, silver-fringed backdrop, and pulsing music transformed the space into an intimate private club. The dance floor remained full long after the beachfront celebration ended.
At many hotels, celebrations would wind down by 11 pm. But in a private villa, the evening can continue at its own rhythm. With the beachfront festivities concluding at midnight, the party simply moved inside — allowing music, laughter and dancing to continue until nearly 2 am.
No ballroom schedules. No hotel timelines. No outside interruptions. Just one continuous celebration — from sunset on the beach to the final song inside the villa.
